RRB JE Recruitment 2018: Vacancies revised, notification released on rrbmumbai.gov.in, rrbkolkata.gov.in

Railway Recruitment Board has revised the number of vacancies for RRB JE Recruitment 2018. The Board has added 74 more vacancies in RRB Kolkata division making it to 1593 from 1519. The official notice regarding the enhancement of vacancies for Metro Railway/Kolkata can be checked on the official site of RRB Mumbai and RRB Kolkata at rrbmumbai.gov.in, rrbkolkata.gov.in. The RRB JE 2019 result is expected soon.

The notice released by the Board has the name of the post along with the increased number of vacancies in it. With the increased number of vacancies, the total number of vacancies has increased from 13,487 to 13,561. Candidates who will qualify the 1st CBT exam will have to appear for 2nd CBT. The second CBT exam dates will be released soon after the declaration of first CBT result. The Official Notification for revised vacancies can be checked here.

The Board has already released Answer Key on July 11, 2019. The question paper, responses, and keys were also available on the official site of RRBs. The first CBT RRB JE exam was conducted from May 22 to May 29, 2019. The result of the first CBT is expected soon. The result can be checked on the official sites of regional RRBs.

As per the official notification, the total number of candidates to be shortlisted for 2nd Stage shall be 15 times the community wise total vacancy of Posts notified against the RRB as per their merit in 1st Stage CBT. The second CBT will have 120 minutes duration and will comprise of 150 questions. The questions will be objective type with multiple choices and will have questions from general awareness, physical and chemistry, basics of computers and applications, basics of environment and pollution control and technical abilities.

RRB JE Exam 2019 will fill up 13,487 posts of Junior Engineers in Indian Railways. The examination will fill up posts of Junior Engineer (JE), Junior Engineer (Information Technology) [JE(IT)], Depot Material Superintendent (DMS) and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA) in Indian Railways across the nation.
